Does AVG Free slow down your computer?

It’s a spyware blocker, and I just wanna know if it slows down your computer in any way shape or form, because after I installed it, my computer has become a lot slower. It’s not the computer, seeing as I have a Q6600 Quad-Core processor, and 4GB which can keep 300 Firefox windows open with no slow down. So, is AVG Free the reason for my computer being slow?

What is wrong with my computer??

I’ve done a complete virus scan (which includes adware & spyware), I’ve done disk cleanup, defragmented…yet my computer is still going a lot slower than it should. I have a pop up blocker, yet pop ups sometimes manage to pop up. And it’s happening more & more. Programs will freeze & sometime Explorer will just shut down on it’s own. What could be causing this & how could I fix it? (I can’t afford to take my computer to a professional…plus last time, they screwed me over, majorly) Thanx in advance for all honest answers…

my gateway laptop has been hacked, and or, has a big virus. and spyware and virus blocker things keep popping up, but they all cost money.
where can i get a free one, that still works REALLLYYY good?

i got firefox and when i click a link on google it redirects that link to an advertising do i have a virus or an adware. i got a ad-blocker for the firefox site that did not help.

if anyone needs a program fully activated or a serial number just email me @ radanphilip89@yahoo.com, sunbelt antivirus + antispyware in decription plus winrar pro full. when trying to update sunbelt and it dont do try agian until it does may have to reinstall and put patch back in folder and run it, it took me 3 times to get it to work on my moms computer, i’m running vista ultimate 32 bit and shes running xp home 32 bit. www.zshare.net www.zshare.net

I keep getting pop ups and i have pop up blocker, I’ve run adware & spybot but it’s still not working. The pop ups used to be adverts and now they are just blank. I was thinking, could I remove IE and have firefox instead?? If yes, how do I safely remove IE?
LOL I mean Uninstall!!
Also, today the internet pages wont work, they just cup up saying page can not be displayed, and it’s doing this for lot of websites that im trying to view.

how to turn of laptop?

I’m using compaq presario V3000. before this I had a problem with my date & time settings (and made my laptop goes nut). I’ve installed spyware blocker etc. and for the time being, that problem is solved. but now, I can’t turn off my laptop. everytime I click shut down, the laptop will turn off completely, for a while. then after a few seconds, it will restart again. does pulling off the batt and power supply is the only solution?
